A Hoodie for an aspiring Pirate

12:02 PM

Some months ago, I bought the book Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls for my daughter. She fell in love with many of the extraordinary women portrayed on the book, but the one she loved the most was Grace O’ Malley, the Irish girl who lived in the 16th century and became a pirate to fight against the English domination.
When I saw this Nosh pirate fabric I thought that it was the perfect match for my aspiring little pirate.

I've used a hoodie pattern featured on the cover of Ottobre Design Spring 1/2015. It's a beautiful pattern that can be used for both boys and girls. I love the raised collar detail and the front pockets. I've sewn a size 122 for my 6 years old girls and it fits well, with just some room to grow.

This Nosh sweatshirting is a dream to work with. I've lined the hoodie and the pockets with some striped sweatshirting in black and vanilla, always by Nosh

For the leggings I've used some stretch sweatshirting in black from Nosh.

All fabrics i've used are still available but you can find other inspirations checking all new Nosh fabrics here

In cooperation with Nosh.
